Hellfried
Philipp Karl Helfried Hölke is a multidisciplinary artist working at the intersection of electronic music and visual art. Operating under the moniker Hellfried, his practice spans deep, progressive electronica and abstract expressionist painting — two disciplines united by an instinct for raw, unfiltered energy.
His paintings — gestural, layered, often chaotic — draw from the lineage of Basquiat and the neo-expressionists. They are impulse made physical. His music, by contrast, is precise and immersive: deep house architectures that unfold slowly, pulling the listener into hypnotic, evolving soundscapes.
Based in Singapore, Hellfried has exhibited at venues including Funan Mall and Berlin65, and has released two albums — Klangtechnik (2015) and ÜBERZEITREISE (2025) — alongside a body of singles exploring the edges of electronic sound.
